PrestaShop connection setup

PrestaShop connection setup

This guide walks you through enabling the webservice of your shop, creating a key and connecting the shop to LinkyFlow so you can load your catalogue, stock, orders and customers in Excel or in the web app.

Requirements

  • A shop on PrestaShop 8 or 9, served over https://. PrestaShop 1.7 is not supported: a connection to it is refused, and says so.
  • Access to its back office, with the right to manage webservice keys
  • Friendly URL switched on in the back office: without it, no webservice answers at the shop's address

Step 1 — Enable the webservice and create a key

The names below are those of the English back office.

  1. In your back office, go to Advanced Parameters → Webservice and set Enable PrestaShop's webservice to Yes.
  2. Click Add new webservice key, then Generate!, and name it LinkyFlow.
  3. Under Permissions, tick View (GET) on products, combinations, stock_availables, categories, manufacturers, orders, order_details, order_states, customers, languages, currencies and configurations.
  4. To change prices and stock from LinkyFlow, also tick Patch (PATCH) on products, combinations and stock_availables — and only there. Without it, everything is read and nothing is written.
  5. Save, then copy the key.

Step 2 — Add the connection in LinkyFlow

  1. In Excel or the web app, open Connections → Add connection.
  2. Choose PrestaShop from the provider list.
  3. Paste the Webservice Key and the Shop URL: the address of your storefront, like https://myshop.com, with its sub-folder if it has one (https://myshop.com/boutique).
  4. Save.

When the connection is saved or synced, LinkyFlow reads what the key may do from the webservice itself, resource by resource: nothing is written to find out. A right the key lacks is shown as not granted while the others keep working; a key with no right LinkyFlow reads is refused. A shop older than PrestaShop 8 is refused, and so is an address with no webservice behind it.

If the key is refused

If PrestaShop refuses a key you know is right, your host may be dropping it before it reaches PrestaShop: set Enable CGI mode for PHP to Yes in Advanced Parameters → Webservice, save and sync the connection. If LinkyFlow says a key is not allowed to do something, the key is valid and lacks that right: tick it in Advanced Parameters → Webservice, then sync the connection.

Step 3 — Load your first query

  1. Insert a LinkyFlow query and pick the PrestaShop provider.
  2. Choose Products, select your connection in the Link field, and run it — the first 100 products load by default.
  3. Use the arrows to page through results, or pick All results to read the pages in a row.

LinkyFlow keeps the webservice key server-side: it is never shown again, and never sent to an AI assistant.
