LinkyFlow for Square

LinkyFlow for Square

The Square connection brings your business into Excel and the LinkyFlow web app: its locations, its catalogue, its orders and its payments. You connect with Square, with no key to copy. Load them as structured tables and analyse them with your formulas. This connection only reads: nothing is created, changed or deleted at Square.

Key capabilities

Locations

Load the places your business sells from, with their name, status, type, currency, country and time zone. Each one has its own orders, payments and currency.

Catalogue items and variations

Catalog Items reads your items with their name, type and whether they are archived. Catalog Variations reads what carries each SKU and price: the item it belongs to, its name, its SKU and UPC, how it is priced and its price. A variation priced at the sale has no price here. Both read the whole catalogue, or one record by its ID: there is no filter by SKU or by item.

Orders

Load the orders of one location, the latest updated first, filtered by state or update date, with their totals, taxes, discounts, tips, service charges, source and lines. Square reads orders one location at a time, so Location is required.

Payments

Load your payments, for the whole business or one location, filtered by creation date, with the status, the amount, the tip, the total, what was refunded, the card brand and last four digits, the order and the receipt. Without dates, Square answers the last year.

What you can do:

  • Load locations, catalogue, orders and payments as Excel tables, up to 100 rows per page, or the pages in a row with All results
  • Read a table in a cell with the =LF.square functions
  • Build your own totals with formulas, one currency at a time
  • Read the same business from ChatGPT or Claude through MCP

How amounts are read

An amount is a whole number in the minor units of its currency, beside that currency, exactly as Square states it: 1250 with EUR is 12.50 EUR. It is not always a number of cents: 1250 with JPY is 1250 JPY, because the yen has no minor unit. The dashboards keep amounts in minor units, say so, and never add two currencies together.

How lists are read

Square pages through a list with a cursor and counts nothing, so there is no total to show. A cursor lives 5 minutes: after that, start the list again. All results walks at most 1,000 pages and says so when the answer is incomplete.

What is not read

Customers, refunds as records of their own, inventory counts and payouts are not read, and nothing is written.
